The Hull House is in Chicago which was the first social settement for Jane Addams and for other residents who lives in the Hull House. The Hull House was a place for immigrant kids to understand America and for women to become house wives, etc. -
Reception Center
Ellis Island was a place for immigrants to have their check up's to see is they have brought any virise. If they do they would be sent back to their country. Ellis Island has been is bussiness for about 62 years; ended the year 1954. -
physical exams needed
Immigrants coming to the US were required to have a physical exam to keep from getting other people sick.
