First scandanavians to reach America

We put all of our immigrant groups together to make a big timeline. The groups are theSwedish, Irish,Norwegien's,Italian's, and Mexicans.

The Spanish helped discover America in 1513 because they wanted Gold. So they sent out Christopher Columbus to do this for them in 1492. Christopher Columbus discovered America in 1492. When he got here he believed he was in India so he called the people he saw Indians. The Spanish then started coming to collect more gold.

French Explorers came to America in search of Animal Fur. New France was a colony developed by the French. It covered present-day Canada. French explorers included; Verrazano, Cartier, Champlain, who established Quebec; Marquette, who found the Mississippi ; and La Salle, who explored the Great Lakes.
