    We meet J, a senior in High school who is a photographer (amatuer). J was mistakenly born as a girl, when really he feels like he is a boy. J goes searching, discovers that he is transgender, and makes himself a chest-binder and develops plans to get Testosterone shots. He starts passing as a boy more and more often, and ditching school in the process.

    J finds himself at a shelter for homeless GLBT youth, and swithches to a school of the same title. He meets a few transgender people, and ends up coming out to his mother so that he can get the testosterone shots. J's mother kicks him out, but sends him to live with his best friend, Melissa, and her mother. J also meets Cannele, a t-girl who becomes his friend.

    J gets a counselor, Phillip, to help him get the testosterone shots and work through any residual anger he has. J joins a t-men group, who are in the midst of their campaign for unisex bathrooms (wepeetoo). J applies for a college as male (with Channeles help), and breaks up with his girlfriend, Blue, when she learns he is Trans.

    Melissa puts on a dance performance that exposes her cutting, J gets his first Testosterone shot (with the support of Melissa, Channele, and Zak, who J may or may not have a crush on). J's voice breaks, finally and he is at last percieved as who he really is: a boy.
