The Hunger Games Begin

People get off of their podium
People rush from their podeum to the cornucopia and start killing while Katniss hesitates and then runs. -

Katniss picks up a backpack from a dead tribute
The backpack includes a knife, a sleeping bag, sme food and an empty canteen -

The gamemakers make a large fire to bring the tributes closer together
Durig this fire Katniss gets her leg burned. -

Katniss gets cornered by the careers
Katnis climbs up a tree to get some sleep but the carerrs find her and wait for her overnight. While she is trying to find a way out the young ribute from district 11, Rue, points out a tracker-jacker nest above Katniss which she cuts down to sting the careers but also gets stung. She falls into a venom induced sleep -

Katniss and Rue team up
After Rue helps Katniss escape from the careers, they team up -

Rue is captured and killed
After Katniss blows up the careers' food supply Rue, who was supposed to be the distraction was captured and killed -

Katniss looks for, and finds, Peeta
After Rue dies the capitol makes an announcement that if two tributes are from the same district they can both win -

Katniss gets medicine for Peeta
Peeta was cut in the leg by a sword so Katniss leaves him to go get medicine from the cornucopia. -

Peeta accidently kills "Foxface"
After Katniss tells Peeta to collect some berries he collects poisonous berries which "Foxface" steals and eats -

The gamemakers drain all of the lakes
By doing this the gamemakers are telling the tributes to get the games over with. -

Cato dies
When Katniss and Peeta return to the cornucopia, Cato runs at them and they can't hurt him. He is being chased by mutant dogs (who used to be tributes). They all go to the top of the cornucopia and Katniss shoots Cato in his weak spot; his hand. Cato fall dow to the dogs and after days of waiting the cannon shoots symbolizing the end of the games. -

A slight rule change
After Cato dies Katniss and Peeta think that they won. But, as they're celebrating an announcement comes on saying that only one can win. After some thinking, Katniss comes up with a brilliant idea for them both to die. She takes the poisonous berries and hands some to Peeta. On the count of three they were going to eat them but an announcement came on saying that they were both winners. -

They leave
They are taken out of the arena and Peeta gets surgery (which doesn't work). Peeta ends up with a fake leg and they do more capitol things. -

They go home
They ride the train back home.
