Eventhough Katniss' dad died when she was young, he still taught her about hunting. It helped feed her mom and Prim after he died. It also helped in the Hunger Games. -
Peeta burned the bread
Peeta knows he would be in trouble but he still burns the bread for Katniss. The bread helped Katniss survive and keep Prim and her mom alive. -
Gale and Katniss become friends
After Gale and Katniss become friends they can both help each other's family have enough food. Without Gale Katniss and her family wouldn't have as much food as they did. -
Trading in the Hob
Eventhough hunting was illegal the store owners in the Hob still traded with her. They helped her get the extra things Katniss, Prim and her mom needed. -
Cinna makes unique costumes
Without the costumes Peeta and Katniss wouldn't have stood out, they would have been forgotten about. With the costumes though they stood out and got sponsers. -
Haymitch makes a strategy
Peeta is coached by himself for the interviews. He does this so he can tell about how he loves Katniss. If Katniss knew about his plan she wouldn't have had the expression that she did. The sponsers wouldn't have belived that they loved each other. -
Peeta joins the Careers
In the beginning Katniss felt betrayed they Peeta had joined the Careers but in the end she realized it was all part of his plan. If Peeta hadn't joined the Careers they would have starting hunting down Katniss in the very beginning. -
Rue and the tracker jackers
Rue could have sent the tracker jackers at her but instead she decided to help her. Rue saved Katniss' life but killed two peple. -
Foxface steals from the Careers food supply
After watching Foxface's actions Rue and Katniss realize that the food supply has bombs attached to it. If they had not watched Foxface they would have gone for the food and would have exploded. -
Thresh lets Katniss go
Thresh could have easily killed Katniss at that moment. He let her go though because she help Rue.
