    They lived from 4 million to 1 milion B.C.E. They were mainly found in southern and eastern Africa. They are known as the first human like creature to walk upright.

    This era lasted from 2.5 million to 8,000 B.C.E. The oldest chopping tools we have found date back to this era. Most of the Ice age occured during this time. At this time glaciers advanced and retreated as much as 18 times.

    It began 2.5 million to 3,000 B.C.E..This age contains both the paleolithic age and the neolithic age. In this age all of homnids lived and changed over time trying to adapt to their surrondings.

    Homo Erectus
    They were the first to travel out of Africa. These people were also known as "upright man." According to what we know these people were more intelligent and adaptable species than the Homo Habilis. They used there inteligence to develop technology like using knowledge tools and invention to benefit themselves. They were the first to use fire and it helped scare away animals, provide warmth, and cook food. If it wasnt for them future generations might not be as advance as they are today.

    They lived from 1.6 million to 30,000 B.C.E. Many people believe that Homo erectus eventualy developed into Homo Sapiens or better known as "wise men."

    Neanderthals
    The Neanderthals were believed to reside in Europe and southwest Asia. To our knowledge we believe they worshiped a god like figure. It is because they had ritual burials. They were also very well built muscular people. They were also very resourceful people to survive the Ice age. Made many tools like scrapers and stone blades but 30,000 years ago mysteriosly vanished. If it wasnt for there resourcefulness man could have gone extinct during the Ice age.

    They lived from 40,000 to 8,000 B.C.E. They mainly were in Europe. They were very intellectual people. There were believed to be fully modern humans. The also created art and maby as a way of expressing themselves. We believe that they are also identical to modern humans. They were smart and planned there hunts and studied there animals. This is what really made them surpass all the people before them. They also had advance skill in language which allowed them to do more difficult things.

    Neolithic Age

    This is called the new stone but mainly is called neolithic age. This is a very short era that began in 8,000 B.C.E. and ended in 3,000 B.C.E.. During this stone age people learned how to polish tools, raise animals,make pottery, and grow crops.

    Neolithic Revelution
    This started around 10,000 years ago. The women would scatter some seeds around the campsite that they were staying at. When the arrived there next season crops have grown. We believe that the neolithic revelution occured at this time because of the favorable condition for growing crops. This helped there population grow also. Since the crops brought more food than hunting the men decided to take up farming.

    It was said to exist around 3,000 B.C.E..Cunieform means "wedged shape."This is a form of writing alot of civilizations used for record keeping. They would use a wedge shaped stylus and press down into the moist clay and write. They would then bake it and the tablets would be hard.

    The Bronze age began in Sumer around 3,000 B.C.E.. It started because alot of the metalworkers discovered melting tin and copper together makes bronze. The metalworkers produced over a thousand bronze spearheads. They made alot of tools and weapons. That is why its refered to as the bronze age. This is the age between stone and iron. Before bronze they used copper wich is easy to find but not as stong as bronze. In 1,000 B.C.E. is when it ended and the iron age began.

    (2.5 milion to 1.5 B.C) Most homo habilis skulls have been found in East Africa. First to make and use stone tools to their own benefit. These people were also know as "man of skill" because they made tools out of lava rock. They would use these tools to cut meat and crack open bones. This made survival alot easier. There significance is that that got man started with using tools which could helps others in the future

    She was founded November 29 1974.The oldest hominid ever to be found. They say she lived 3.5 million years ago. They named her Lucy because it was a female and it was a nickname named after "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds."

    A group of New York students and some Canadian and American researchers dicoverd a Neanderthal bone flute. It is said to be 43,00 to 82,000 years old. This gives us a hint that the Neanderthals might have played music.
