Hugh Jackman was born in Sydney, Australia on October 12, 1968. He was the youngest of five children and the only one born in Sydney.

When Jackman was eight his mom Grace McNeil and father Christopher John Jackman divorced. Hugh along with his two brothers were left to be raised by his father and his sisters were taken by his mother to England.
