During the Civil War guns were not as good as they are now. Then guns could take up to a full minute to load one shot into the gun. Ammo back then was just a circular ball that they loaded into the top of the gun. That means that they can only shoot one shot at a time. -

When the Spanish American War came around weapons got more high tec. They had revolvers so they could shot more than one shot without reloading every shot. They also created the gatling gun which could shoot bullets at a very quick pace. The ammo also got alot more technical it was alot more accurate. -

During the Vietnam War the guns have mad a huge change. Guns have been alot lighter and stronger, and more accurate. They are also making the magazines alot easier and quicker to reload. During the Civil war it took people up to a minute to load one round. Now it taes a person about five seconds to fire thirty rounds. -

During modern day war the most changes have been done to the guns. They ammo is stronger and can fire alot more straight for a further distance. The guns are so much lishter also. The guns can go underwater, through sand, in dirt, and in bad weather and still shoot as good as they did before. New things can be added to the gun to make it alot more comfortable for the user also. Guns have changed so much over time from the Civil war to modern day. -
