  • Bill is Drafted by a member of the Senate

  • Bill is introduced to the Senate.

  • The bill goes to committee.

  • Subcommittee on review of the bill

  • Committee markup of the bill.

  • The chamber votes on the Bill to pass or defeat. The whole senate will vote.

  • Referral of bill is passed to the House of Representatives.. (the other chamber)

  • If passed by both chambers, bill is passed to the President
