In these chapters it starts out how Stanley doesn't have many friends when he first starts going to Camp Green Lake. But as time passes it brings in Zigzag, Zero, Armpit, and a few others. It introduces the protagonists and they are The Warden and Mr.Sir. -
Chapters 16-33 pages 72-148
In these chapters it talks about how Stanley is helping his friend Zero learn how to read and write and Zero would help Stanley dig his holes. And also Zero runs away. -
Chapter 33-49 pages 149-225
Through out chapter 33 and the rest of the book it talks about how stanley runs from camp green lake and he find Zero. and the find this moutain call "gods thumb" and it has fresh water on it also with onions. Then Stanley and Zero get there way back to camp green lake and they find the tresure of "kissin' Kate Barlow" and they are now rich. -
