  • Boston Massacre

    This is when a handful of colonists were shot by the British. This was significant because it started the revolutionary war.

    This was to be able to own some land and trade with the indians. The significance of this event is that it started the US.

    This is when the colonists dumped all the tea into the sea off the ship. This is significant because it showed the British that they were tired of the stupid taxes.
  • Lexington and Concord

    Lexington and Concord
    A battle near concord and it was the first military engagements of the revolutionary war. The significance was that it started the revolutionaey war.
  • Bunker Hill

    Bunker Hill
    A battle around "Breed's Hill" and both Britian and Colonial troops wanted it. This was significant because it was the Colonies first capture.

    This was to try and stop full-blown war. This affirmed the loyalty to Britain. The significance was that it succeded for a while but the King never got it before the Congress was involved.

    It was to make people want to fight for independence and it explained the advantages for independence. The significant thing was it inspired people to want to fight.

    In this battle the Colonies pushed back the British into the city limits. This was significant because it was the first succesful battle for the colonies.

    This was to tell Britian what they were doing that the colonists hated and what to tell Britain to make better. The significance of this is it started the revolutionary war.

    This battle was near Trenton and George Washington had to cross the delaware river. The colonists had to fight the Hessian soldiers. The significance of this war was it was a short battle and they captured almost all of the Hessian soldiers.

    In this battle the colonies evacuated there position and went to attack British garrison at Princeton. This was significant because they overan the british.
  • Fort Ticonderoga

    Fort Ticonderoga
    America held this fort from 1776 to 1777 and the British took it over in 1777. The significance of this is the colonies held it for a year.

    In this battle 2 battles were fought 18 days apart at the same place. Britain won both battles. The significance was that they were fought in the same place and

    This is a camp that the colonies stayed at. Over 2500 people died from disease, starvation, and exposer to weather. This was significant because it wiped out a huge portion of the continental army.

    The colonies won the battle. This is the last land war of the revolutionary war. The significance of this battle is the colonists took over Yorktown and it was the last land battle.

    This was the treaty to end the revolutionary war. This was significant because it stopped one of the biggest wars in history.
