    At least 243 people died in the bombings with 300-400 being injured. The bombings consisted of 64 bombing all up , the first lasting 40 minutes and the second lasting 25 but with more casualties. Multiple aircraft were destroyed and eight ships were sunk at the Australian military base.

    Commonly referred to as Chairman Mao, Mao Zedong was a Chinese Communist revolutionary and the founding father of the People's Republic of China.
  • "I have a dream"

    Martin Luther King Jr was a civil rights astivist who delivered his famous speech, with an even more famous sying, "I have a dream". This speech was written to bring up the issue about how racial equality is essential for people to peacefully coexist, and racism negatively affects the lives of African-Americans.

    Four passenger airliners were hijacked by 19 al-Qaeda terrorists so they could be flown into buildings in suicide attacks. Two of those planes, American Airlines Flight 11 and United Airlines Flight 175, were crashed into the North and South towers of the World Trade Center complex in New York City.

    The bali bombings occured in the tourist district of Kuta on the Indonesian island of Bali which saw 202 people killed including 88 Australians. The first explosion was triggered in a nightclub, which then saw people fleeing outside to where a much larger bomb inside a van would explode, killing many poeple and causing lots of damage to buildings.

    On May 2, 2011, Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden is killed by U.S. Special Forces during an early morning raid in Abbottabad, Pakistan, with DNA tests proving it was him coming though within a week.

    A picture of 3 of the many children and adults that were killed in the result of the flight MH17 purposely being shot down whilst flying over Luhansk in Ukraine. No'one yet knows who shot down MH17 as both sides are playing the blame game.
