    Adolf Hitler publishes his book
    The name of the book is simply my struggle or my battle. Although it is thought that Adolf Hitler wrote this book, he did not. Instead, Rudolf Hess wrote while hitler spoke about his youth and early days in the natzi party. In the book he divides people into categories based on appearances and establishes higher and lower orders and even types of humans and explains the supreme race to be people with fair skin, blonde hair and blue eyes.

    Warsaw was the first European capital conquered by Nazi Germany on October 1939, a month after the beginning of the war, 140,000 Polish troops were taken prisoner by the German invaders and bombs began rainging over poland at dawn. The fight lasted 26 long days and finally succumbed when the polands eventually surrendered.

    In May 1940, he became Prime Minister of Britain replacing Neville Chamberlain. Churchill formed a national government and Three days later went on to lead Britain in World War II and gave his famous and first speech as a leader. His famous line “I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears, and sweat” remains one of the most famous speeches in history. He had put himself forward for the role and quickly won the support from the people.

    The Blitz was a German bombing against the United Kingdom in 1940 and 1941, during the Second World War. The term blitz was first used by the British press and originated from the term Blitzkrieg, meaning lightning war. The most significant event was a large daylight attack against London occurring on the 15th of September. The blitz began bombing becasue it was a strategic plan to dstreoy airforce bases and aircraft factories.

    The British government introduced food rationing. This was designed to ensure fair shares for everyone due to the national shortage, Rationing began when bacon, butter and sugar were rationed. By 1942 other foods, including meat, milk, cheese, eggs and cooking fat were also being rationed'. As World War 2 came to an end in 1945, so did the government's rationing policy. By the end of the year, sugar was the only thing still being rationed.

    From May 26 to June 4, over 338,000 British and French troops were safely evacuated from Dunkirk. Although around 16,000 French soldiers and 1,000 British soldiers died during the evacuation. The evacuation was still deemed successful; the evacuation was a great boost to the civilian morale, and created the 'Dunkirk spirit' which aided Britain to continue to fight in the summer of 1940.

Germany then bombed britisn in attempt to destroy the air force to prepare for invasion. The battle lasted between the 10th of july 1940 to the 31st of october 1940.

More than 3 million men attacked along the 2,900 km front, which made it the largest military invasion in history By the end of the year German troops had extended to the outskirts of Moscow.

    The attack on Pearl Harbour was a surprise military strike by the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service. 2,403 people died as a result of this attack, At about 8 a.m Japanese planes filled the sky over Pearl Harbour. Bombs and bullets rained onto the vessels below .The Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor began at 7:55 that morning. The entire attack took only one hour and 15 minutes.
