Tiananmen Square Protest Part2
Although the deathtoll of this even was not high compared to other events such as world war two, the signifigance and power of those who died are what matter, to this day the chinese goverment still try to cleanse thier name of this tragedy, further showing how important this event is, it tells us what the chinese goverment was like. -
Tiananmen Square Protest
It is unclear what happened that day as the chinese goverment has restriced all forms of discussion and rememberance of that day. It is estimated that the death toll of that day was at least a thousand. Students had been protesting in Tiananmen square for seven weeks, on april fourth, the government sent tanks and armed forces to stop the protests, when unarmed civilians attempted to block the army's advance, they inflicted casulites on them.
