    EVENT: Columbus arrived at La Navidad for his second voyage where he found his men from the first voyage being all killed.
    FACT CHECK: As shown in the movie, Columbus indeed discovered his men from the previous voyage being all killed.
    CONNECTION: As Columbus discovered the "New World," there recently been new dinosaur fossils discovered in South Africa.
    RATING: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ I am not really a fond of how some of the actor voices are being portrayed.

    Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure
    Purpose: It is to entertain us in a way to learn or know more about the history.
    Fact Check: France declare war on Austria on April 20, 1792.
    Connection: I can relate to the movie as in how much I too lack knowledge regrading history in general.

    12 Years a Slave
    Event: Solomon Northup was kidnapped by two white males and send him to a slave pen.
    Fact Check: As in the book he wrote, Northup was tricked into going to Washington D.C., where he was kidnapped and sold into slavery.
    Connection: According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, nearly 800,000 children are reported missing each year.
    Rating: ⭐ ⭐ because I did not really get to watch the whole movie.

    FACT CHECK:[As shown in the movie, votes were taken by publicly announcing their decisions and uses tally marks to keep track of the votes in the 1800s]
    CONNECTION [Now days, Congress votes are taken by electronic device like the 1800s.]
    RATING: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ [it was interesting to see the process Lincoln took to passed the Thirteen Amendment.]

    EVENT: [ It is when Sam Krichinsky first came to America.]
    FACT CHECK: [ During the Fourth of July, there are many fireworks and celebration happening. ]
    CONNECTION: [Since 2000, there are about 1,000,000 legal immigrants per year.]
    RATING: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ [The story was interesting and heartbreaking. As an immigrant myself I was able to empathize most of the events.]

    FACT CHECK: [He denied saying it, stating a response wasn't necessary.]
    CONNECTION: [ Until now country uses white flag as a symbol of surrender.]
    RATING: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ [ I love everything but I have difficulty understanding what they said most of the time and it was hard to differentiated which soldiers is which.

    EVENT:While heading to California, Grandpa die and he was bury along the road.
    FACT CHECK:Back then people were bury anywhere so it is possible grandpa was bury on the side of the road.
    CONNECTION:Most states like California made it illegal to "deposits or disposes of any human remains in any place, except in a cemetery, is guilty of a misdemeanor"
    RATING: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ I liked how it show the hardships people face during the Great Depression and it was easy to understand.

    EVENT: During the march, the movie mainly focuses on the black and white people who participated.
    FACT CHECK: In one of the article, Some Jews who marched with King at Selma wrote that the film omits any mention of the Jews who contributed significantly to the civil rights movement, “airbrushing” Jews out of the film.
    CONNECTION: In most of a case, some group of people are left unnoticed or out.
    RATING: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ I like how they were able to portrait like the actual event

    EVENT: It was during one of the vietcong accidentally fire a gun which scare them and the prisoners.
    FACT CHECK: During the war, most of the vietcong do not know how to fire gun because before that they were just a normal citizens and do not have any proper training.
    CONNECTION: During WWI, any male over the age of 18 were rafted to a war without any proper training and they were just a normal citizens.
    RATING:⭐ ⭐ ⭐ It was kind of corny but interesting to see how the they were being treated.

    EVENT: Forrest Gump enlist in the Army with IQ level of 75.
    FACT CHECK: The US military has minimum enlistment standards at about the IQ 85 level.
    CONNECTION: Some people still wants to die during the war than come back with disabilities. They wants to remembered as a honorable person.
    RATING: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ I like the movie because it was funny and entertaining to watch.

    EVENT: When escorting the bombers to Berlin, there was many fast jet used by the German.
    FACT CHECK: According to history, German were the only one using a jet.
    CONNECTION: Now, United States have many advance aircrafts or weapons to use during a war.
    RATING: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ The movie was absolutely amazing and fun to watch since there was many action scenes.
