    The Magna carta was a document signed by the King stating that the King must protect the rights of the church and not interfere with their agenda and can not make false imprisonments. This is significant because this was a first step towards a limited government and heavily influence how the future superpower of the world the United States would run their government.

    The start of the Enlightenment
    The enlightenment was a period in Europe through 1685-1815 that consisted of many ideas and philosophies. The enlightenment was also called the Age of Reason and heavily encouraged free thinking and separation from the church. The enlightenment was significant because the ideas sprouted from the time would revolutionize how governments were ran and how people kept and held their rights.

    The declaration of independence was a document created by important figures of the colonies stating that the colonist were no longer going to be under British rule and would make their own decisions as a independent country This was significant because it created a spark in the start of the revolutionary war as well as lead the Colonies to become their own country.

    The Articles of Confederation was the United State's first government outline. This document gave guidelines on how the government would be ran and how executive actions would be carried out. This was significant because although it was abolished, it was the U.S first real attempt on becoming an actual independently governed country.

    The Treaty of Paris was signed by Great Britain and the newly founded United States of America. This treaty marked the end of the revolutionary war and the beginning of the United States. The treaty of paris was significant because it went down as one of the most important events in the history of the United States and possibly the world as the outnumbered and inexperienced colonist claimed victory over at the time the most powerful country in the world.

With the federalist supporting a strong central government, and the anti-federalist supporting a weaker central government and a bill of rights. This was significant because both parties wanted something that was very important to our success as a country and lead to the compromise, resulting in a bill of rights and a constitution.

    The Constitutional Convention was a meeting held by representatives from the colonies that was used to discuss how the government was going to be ran and what steps were going to be taken to change the articles of confederation This was significant because the meeting made great progression towards our development as a country and lead to reformations to the articles of confederation. This also made big steps towards the constitution
