The game industry really ruled this century. The game industry made a lot of foot prints during this time period. -

Big things have small beginnings
The game industry started to branch out dur this time. Without these events occuring we would not have the games we have to day. -
The beginning
In 1961 the game industry made it's first step and the game industry started to form -
Inventor
Steve Russell was the person who helped the game industry take off, he invented the first ever video game. But it was too expensive to share. The name of the game invented was called space war. -
Progress
The game industry made it's first progress in 1970, by another inventor named Nolan Bushnell made the first coin opperated game. This was a big hit, but the controls were to complicated. -
A march into homes
A little after the coin opperated game was created an inventor by the name of Ralph Baer brought the game system too our homes. -
The Trade
In that same year Ralph Baer sold his invention to Magnavox. After buying his invention Magnovox put a paten on the invention. -
A New Breed
Another type of game was also created during this time and it was named the atari. -
Other Versions
Also during this time Nolan B. Created other versions of the game pong called gotcha, space race, Tanks, and Rebound. These games were not as popular as pong. -
Branching out
The games took on different forms during this time. The game industry made the game system into: Nitendo, Play station, Xbox, and a few others. -
Parlors?
After a few years the game really started to chatch on, especially with teenagers. The game table tennis and pong were brought in to parlors and were used to get people into the parlor to play. -

This era can be called the atari era because that is the game that dominated the game market during that time. -
Violence
Noland, the creater of atari, said on this date that one of their main goals was not to add to much violence to video games. -
PlayStation
The game system that is played today came out during this time and it was launched by Japan. -
PLaystation Upgrades
Unlike the xbox, the Play Station was upgraded numerus times. It went from a normal playstation, to a play station 2, and then to a Play Station 3. -

Xbox
The xbox was created on 2001 and this started the xbox crave. -
Moving forward
During this time the xbox was upgraded to the xbox 360 -
Cont. of Xbox 360
Further upgrades were made to improve the xobox's speed, storage, and look. -
Kinect
This was one of the most popular attatcments for the xbox and it was a big hit all around. It was a video camera. -
Wii
This was a game systemn total designed for monitoring a persons movment and applying it to the game. -
Motion controller
The PS3 has a motion sencing controller. -
Xbox 720
No one knows when the new xbox is coming to stores. -
PS4
The makers of the Play Station are going to realese the new system during christmas, -
Above and beyond
The game indusrty will continue to grow through time. There will be better entertainment and games will be in a higher demand.
