When the great crash occured, it caused paniced selling and hence many Americans suffered bankruptcy, it then triggered the 10 year great deression in America.

    The Annchlus was the culmination of a movement of Nazi Germany to annex Austria so forming a even strong European power. The formation of this power base was propably instrumental in encouraging Germany to go to war with the Allies. Hence igniting World War II.

    Japan conducted an ambush millitary strike on the Americans, intending to prevent the Americans on interferring with the Japanese Empire. It did just the opposite, the Americans then entered the war with the Allies, had Japan not conducted this Hawaii operation it is likley that America would not have dropped two nuclear bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki at the end of WWII.

    This event was the last nuclear attack in history and the only one along with the one dropped on Hiroshima as a part of the same operation. The devestational effects forced Japan to surrender so it probable this saved countless Allied and Japanese lives and then the Second World War ended. The nuclear weapon has shown its strength and it has been made sure that it isn't used unless in extreme circumstances, or simply as a threat.

    This was the beginging of a campaign to stop racial segregation, Rosa Parks disobeyed the ruling that Black people should give up their seat for a white person on a bus. She was later arrested but her stance forced the ruling to be eliminated. This was an act during the U.S civil right movement that has led to the racial equality we have to this day

    This occasion was the a time in the Cold War that was described as closest to turning into a nuclear battle. Whilst there war really no war in this 13 day period it was certainly a crisis. Although targeted on Cuba it was a movement between two super powers, America and Russia.

    As the Commander of the Apollo 11 moon landing, he and Buzz Aldrin spent 2 and a half hours on the moon. As Neil said "this is one small step for man but one giant leap for mankind". It was an event that is probably the start of many more space expeditions which could change our planet.

    Whislt this campaign failed to achive its goal, it was an enviromental protest that has influenced many others to begin a movement. As it failed it has affected Australia as it was a spectacle of Tasmania that is no longer in it natural state. Luckly through the river damming they have been able to relocate water back into the lake.

    This was one of the most powerful environmental campaigns in Australian history and was consequently successful. It is likley the protest was inspired by the Lake Pedder protest. The campaign prevented the Tasmanian enviroment from being harmed by hydroelectricity being generated by dams. This event also represents the change in eviromental awareness at this time.

    The Elimination of the wall brought Germany and the city of Berlin back together after a long time. The political divide got rid of communism and Germany is now a Democratic Rupublic. It also brought a close to the Cold War. Russia and America no longer had any rule over Germany (east or west).
