    This is important because Spudnick 1 was the cause of the space race between the United States and the Soviet Union. It was also important because it was the first artificial satellite in space.

    This is important because it showed that actual life could go up to space and live for a limited amount of time. Later the U.S. did a simalar test to see if they weren't lying. They sent a monkey, named Ham to space.

    This is important because this was the major thing that would get us to the moon. The U.S, was paying a lot of money just to get a man on the moon and get them safely back.

    This is important because it was a great accomplishment for man kind.

    This is important because John F. Kennedy said that we should work together as a country to get a man on the moon before the Soviet union accomplished this.

    This is important because Luna 9 was the first unmaned probe to have a soft landing on the moon and send data back to the Earth.

    This is important because it was the first apollo mission by the U.S. to get a man to the moon. But it did not get to it's target instead it caught fire with the three astonauts in it during a training exercise.

    This is important because Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong were the first two people to walk on the moon unlike all the failed attemps by the Soviet Union and the U.S. That was when the U.S. had won the space race against the Soviet union.

    This is important because it was the finish line to the space race and a friendship with different places, but like all good friendships it goes too soon. The date that the idea was thought was actually on the 10TH not the 30TH. The 30TH was when Ronald Ragan signed the order.

    ISS stands for international space station it serves as a hotel for astronauts in space. It is important because the U.S. and 15 other countries worked to build it and send it to space. Now that's a lot of counties working for such a goal.
