Baron Pierre de Coubertin was the founder of the modern-day Olympics. He got his idea from the Ancient Olympics held in Olympia, Greece. The first-ever modern-day Olympic Games were held in 1921 and the winter Olympics in 1924. -

14 years after Burton came Neversummer. Neversummer is also a very popular snowboard brand that I personally prefer than any other snowboard. Neversumer was invented or founded in 1991 by Tracey Canaday. Neversummer doesn't only make snowboards but longboards and wakeboards too. -

The first-ever winter X-Games was hosted in 1997 in Snow Summit ski resort in Big Bear Lake, California. -
First Half Pipe event in the Olympics
The halfpipe was introduced to the Winter Olympics in 1998 in Nagano, Japan. -
Shaun White
Shaun White is the best snowboarder to live, he currently has 18 medals and 13 of them are gold. Shaun won his first medal in the year 2000 and won his first gold medal in 2006 at the Olympic halfpipe event. -

Jake Burton is the founder of Burton snowboards. Sadly Jake Burton died on November 20th, 2019 from cancer.
