Abstinence only Education funding
250 million dollars was given to abstinence only sex education funding. This was part of the welfare reform act. Abstinence only sex education programs only taught students that being abstinece was the only accetable thing to do. They did not teach about the facts of sex and the STI/STD's that came along with it.
