The first humans who crossed the Siberian-Alaskan land bridge. They originated from central asia. Scientist are not certain when the first humans arrived, but they estimate that it happened sometime between year 40000 BTC and 16500 BCE.

Erikson was an Icelandic (then owned by Norway) explorer who is credited for being the first European in America.

In 1492 Columbus sailed the ocean blue

In 1492 Columbus arrived in the Caribean after a 33 day voyage across the atlantic. He was funded by the newly formed Kingdom of Castile Leon and Aragon. Columbus approached the Portuguese king first, but was turned down. This was because he disagreed with the kings experts on the size of the Earth. The Spanish experts agreed with the Portuguese experts but Columbus managed to convince the king and queen to fund an expidition.
