    THe ruling by the Supreme Court rendered " “There
    is no equality of treatment merely by providing students with the same facilities, textbooks,
    teachers, and curriculum, for students who do not understand English are effectively fore-
    closed from any meaningful education”. (as cited in Rico-Diaz, p. 118, para. 6)

    The US has gone from considering the Cherokee language to denying education in their own schools utilizing their own language to now allowing children of illegal immigrants to be educated lawfully.

    And... this includes English Language Learners. Federal funding is available to support schools in
    educating English learners. (Rico-Diaz, 2012, p. 122) The Educational system has come full circle
