Refrigerator
First in home refrigeration unit was invented in 1913. This new invention allowed food to remain fresh longer and it decreased waste due to heat induced expiration. -
BAND-AID
An easy-to-use dressing with an adhesive was invented by Earle Dickson (a cotton buyer at the Johnson & Johnson company). Dickson perfected the BAND-AID® in 1920, making a small, sterile adhesive bandage for home use. This allowed mothers to dress and sterilize their children's small wounds. -
In Home Hair Dryer
Though quite large, this dryer made getting ready much faster for those in the house with long hair. Mainly for the women in the house, the time saved drying their hair could be spent doing housework. -
AGA Cooker
An all-in-one cooker/water heater and laundry dryer. This device made household management quick and efficient! -
Television
Though only present in the wealthier homes, the first television was brought to life and allowed for fun family bonding time. This device was much cooler than the previous form of entertainment (radio). -

Wi-Fi
Apple introduced Wi-Fi for their devices between 1999 and 2000. Though they weren't the inventors, they were the first to make it available to the public, instead of just commercial companies. This made it possible to connect to the Internet in many different places without having to plug into the standard internet cords. -
HE Washing Machine
This machine saves money and is efficient. The first HE top loading washing machine was the Calypso. These new designs saved thousands of gallons of water per year. -
Xbox
The Xbox was released November 15, 2001. This game system made entertaining children (and the occasional father) easy as pie. -
GPS
GPS was updated to where you are able to find a person within feet of their actual location. This made parents feel better when letting their children go out into the world. -
Blu Ray Player
The Blu Ray player plays movies and/or games with the highest quality available. This invention brought back classics like Disney movies (retouched to make a clearer picture), which brought the family together again. -
Touch Screen Phone
Though the touch screen was developed at an earlier time, Apple innovated the touch screen phone in the late 2000s. The touch screen made keeping up with the world easier. -
"Smart Phone"
Smart phones have technically been around before 2010, but I would not consider a phone "smart" until Siri came out. Siri can interact with the user and determine what he/she is looking for with a few simple directions. -

These new light bulbs provide energy savings upwards of 75%. The LED bulbs will last longer and save the household money. -

Coffee has been around for a long time. The relesae of the Keurig K-Cups has paved the way for greatness. These single serve cups are ready in seconds, making your morning routine seamless. -
