Kinetoscope
Thomas Edison had created the peephole kinetoscope. You would see frames passing between the lens at a rapid rate. People thought it was amazing even though it lasted for only a few seconds. -
Kinetoscope Parlor
The Kinetscope Parlor had been a real attraction at that time. The only problem was that it was made for one person only. This was owned by the Holland Brothers. For 25 cents per person too. -
Lumiere Brothers
Hosted a public screening of the first motion film. Some people were so scared when they saw it because, it would pop right in front of them and ran quickly causing injures. Most of the footage lasted around 50 seconds to a minute. -
The Great Train Robbery
First motion picture moive produced by Thomas Edison. Lasted 12 minutes. Introduced cross cutting. Interesting fact they only had a budget of $150. Silent film at the time. -
First Theatre
Opened in Pittsburgh, Penn. Owned by the company Nickelodoen. The theatre had 96 seats and the admission is one nickel. -
