    Amanullah
    Amanullah was forced by his enemies to abdicate the his throne for his brother Habibullah Kalakani in face of popular uprising. Before he abdicated Amanullah had issued a proclamation that was cancelling most of his reforms. He thought this would keep his enemies away but the enemies still attacked. Amanullah was able to ward off his enemies first attack but was then forced to abdicate his throne. After abdicating his throne he fled the country. Right before the country's civil war.

    In 1964 there was a new constitution that was created. This constituion's purpose was to help prepare the people for democracy and social-economic moderinization. This constitution brought changes to the government of Afghanistan. Shortly after this constution was made it caused many problems with how the country was run. It created a bad relationship between the cabinet and the parliment. This slowed down the political momentum of Afghanistan and brought tradegy.

    Soviet war in Afghanistan
    The Soviet war was part of the Cold War. The fight was between Soviet-Afghan led soldiers and the mujahideens. The mujahideens were trained and then payed billions by the United States to fight the Soviets. The Soviets had there hands in Afghanistan with the president. The president was basically a puppet to them. This war caused a lot of death and refugees going to Iran and Pakistan. This caused these other countries economic strain. This war was a decade long.

    Under the leadership of Colonel-General Boris Gromov the last of the Soviets marched out of Afghanistan. The Geneva Accords was like a deal between Pakistan and Afghanistan to not ineterfere or intervention with each other if the Afghan refugees were allowed to return home. About 50,000 Soviets marched out and then the last 50,000 some thousand marched out of Afghansitan in the year 1989. The Soviet rule was finally over and now a new type of government would soon rule.

    In 2001, the U.S. and the United Kingdom came together after 9-11 and then created "Operation Enduring Freedom. This plan was created to get back at the terrorists who had hit the NY Twin Towers. The U.S. and the United Kingdom went to Afghanistan and "removed" the Taliban regime from power in Kabul and most of Afghanistan. The rest of the Taliban (senior Taliban) fled and ran to Pakistan. The main goal was to find Osama bin Laden.

    Osama bin Laden killed
    Osama bin Laden was killed. He was the founder and leader of Al-Quaida. He was killed by Navy-Seals on May 2, 2011. The United States had been trying to track him down him down for about 10-11 years, since 9-11. Ever since he helped in killing so many people in the U.S., the Twin Towers etc... Intelligence had tracked his whereabouts to a compound inside of Pakistan close to a military base. Helicopters were used evade radar and the Navy-Seals stormed the compound in the middle of the night.
