  • The Declaration of Independence Forms

    The Declaration of Independence Forms
The Declaration of Independence is formed on this very day. This will be one of America's greatest moves in history. It's the key way to how we are now. All the laws and rules, this all started with the Declaration of Independence.
  • The Donner Party...

    The Donner Party...
The Donner Party was a extremely gruesome sight to behold. This event happened during the Western Movement on the frontier. A family had went through the mountains as a short cut when one of their axels on their wagons broke. From this they were stranded in the mountains and resulted to eating each other one by one till there was one left. This had been extremely important to our history because it really shows how far people ere willing to go to start a new life in a new place.
  • The California Gold Rush

    The California Gold Rush
As people moved during the Western Movement, eventually some made it to California. A average miner was shifting through a stream and came across something shiny. This was gold. From here, word spread quick and by a few weeks or so people were all over the place in search for riches. From the California Gold Rush, it attracted people from all over the globe. It's the start of what made America as diverse as it is today.
  • World War ll

    World War ll
As time went on around the world, there was a new group of people newly formed and out for blood. These people were the Nazi's. Specifically run by Hitler in Germany. WW2 started 2 days after Hitler invaded Poland from the western areas. It was France and Britain who declared war on them. America wasn't added till December 7th, 1941 when the Japanese bomber Pearl Harbor. From this, I can clearly see people will stand up to what they think is right and do anything they can to make change.
  • Pearl Harbor

    Pearl Harbor
In case you don't know the memorable event of Pearl Harbor, I'm here to explain. The attack on pearl harbor started when Japan hosted a surprise attack on one of our many military bases. A reason that Japan decided to attack us Americans was actually to get us out of the picture. They wanted to have us out of the question so they could easily conquer Southeast Asia. On this day, over 2,400 Americans died. I believe this is important because we should remember those who died on this tragic day.
  • The JFK Assassination

    The JFK Assassination
John F. Kennedy was elected on November 8th 1960. When he became president, he never could have expected that he was going to be shot in 1963. He had been shot and killed by Lee Harvey Oswald the day he was traveling in Dallas, Texas. He later died in Parkland Hospital after being transported there to get help. From this day, most people remember this fateful day and I feel as if it made people feel the need to add more security to the presidents who are elected.
  • 9/11 (The Twin Towers Attack)

    9/11 (The Twin Towers Attack)
The Twin Towers Attack was in fact a day to remember. This was the day when several terrorists' highjacked a plane and crashed them into the Twin Towers in New York City. From this, we realized that we have to be more careful and protect our nation from people who wish to harm us.
