  • Boston Tea Party

    In Charleston, South Carolina there was a very sad event happening but the people fixed it. The people on this country had to pay lot's of taxes for the tea. The people were getting tired of it so on December 16, 1773, some of the men dressed up as Native Americans and boarded three ships. That night these men took boxes of tea and threw all of the boxes into the sea so that they can show the Empire how much they hate paying taxes for tea.

    The American Revolution, also known as the U.S. War of Independence, was a war between Great Britain's North American colonies and the colonial government. It was a war that declared independence. In April, 1775 Concord kicked off the armed conflict. The American Revolution was a war that helped our lives now because we have independence all because of them.

    The Declaration of Independence was a document that the people signed to declare independence in their lives. Many important people signed and agreed with everything that was on the document because it was true. The document started with We the People because it was referring to every single person who didn't have the right to do whatever they wanted. If we didn't have the Declaration of Independence today then our lives would be very difficult. We would have no freedom or independence.

    The Louisiana Purchase is when lot's of people wanted more land, gold, and silver. There was lot's of violence to get to it and stay alive. The Louisiana Purchase was a major event in our history because it provided lot's of information of how we are where we are now.
  • Lewis and Clark Journey

    The Lewis and Clark Journey was an important event because they went on a very difficult and dangerous expedition to observe the new land (Louisiana Purchase). They found all of the information about the wildlife, plants, climate, and much more. It helped the Pioneers understand what they are coming to so they can stay safe. Lewis and Clark worked very long and hard to make sure everything that they could know about, was written down or remembered.

    The Texas Revolution was a rebellion of colonists. The rebellion was between the United States and Tejanos. They were fighting about "putting up arm resistance to the government."

    The Donner Party was a group of Pioneers at were finding their way to a big open area to have a lot more land. There were so many troubles or difficult times that they went through. One of the major event that they are known for was in the winter. They were traveling fine until the leader thought that he would take a short cut. Unfortunately, it found them traveling another 100 miles. They were all very brave and smart at this time in their journey to paradise.

    The California Gold rush was an event that included lots of pioneers to travel to the west and dig for gold. Their was quit a bit of violence at the end because people were starting to get anxious and impatient. There was a lot of equipment that was being used. The equipment was very different then what we have today. The California Gold Rush was an event that made people very rich, happy, but also greedy.

  • Attack on Pearl Harbor

    Peal Harbor was the kingdoms best port. It was also the best refueling station for American Merchants. President Franklin Roosevelt named the date December 7, 1941, "the day of infamy." Then, on that day the Japanese planes attacked the base on Pearl Harbor. It was a very tragic day, killing lots of people.

  • The Holocaust

    The Holocaust was a very sad event that was about a very cruel man who hated Jews and went around killing them. The Nazi's killed about 6,000,000 Jews. The word Holocaust is a word of Greek origin meaning "sacrifice by fire." The Nazi's killed nearly two out of every three Jews. There was lot's of chaos and sorrow.

    On September 11, 2001, terrorist flew planes into the World Trade Center Towers in New York City killing 5000 people. There was a lot of sadness and pain everywhere. The World Trade Center was a very popular place to work in New York City so people lost a lot of their jobs after this terrible explosion.
