    The United states congress passes the civil rights act. Due to the civil rights act, all men are equal especially to this day. The Civil Rights act of 1875 allowed African Americans to have equal treatment in public transportation and public accommodations. It wasn’t much but it was a start to something greater. Now to this day only a handful of men and women discriminate to other ethnicities to this day. But the majority of society believes were equal and we don't treat a certain race

    Exodus of 1879 was a huge migration of freed African Americans moving out of Texas to Kansas. Kansas was the promise land due to a homestead act which gave free land to settlers of course with certain qualifications. Over 12,000 African Americans ventured forth to kansas during this time. For African Americans this was good, but for Texas landowners this was bad. It caused hardship for Texan landowners with sparse workforce.

    Supreme court declares Civil Rights act of 1875 unconstitutional. The thought of and act of declaring that equal rights is unconstitutional is pathetic in American History. Many of the black and even white community were outraged. The supreme court declared it unconstitutional due to it not being authorized in the 13th or 14th amendments.

    The U.S senate allows the navy to lease Pearl Harbor in Hawaii as a naval base. In it’s early life the Harbor did not station large vessels because it was too shallow. eventually large ships were able to port, and will be known forever through history. The port will be a start of something bigger than itself with the atom bomb in Japan. With the bombing of pearl harbor, it shut Japan up and surrendering from WW2.

    Spanish-American war is ended with a peace treaty and spain is ratified. The war lasted only 3 months, 2 weeks, and 4 days. Because of America winning the war, we wrote history and caused spain to give up sovereignty over Cuba, and had to give up Puerto Rico, and Guam for 20 million.

    The first human flight by the Wright brothers. Accomplishing what only men could imagine, and built a flying machine. The importance of the airplane should just be common sense. We use them for transportation, mail, military, etc. The crazy thing is that only 11 years later, they were used as weapons, that shows how far we can go in 10+ years. The transformed the world with their invention and allowed convenience for traveling men and women.

    U.S house of representatives rejects a proposal to give women the right to vote. At the time it was common for something so bizarre, but it shows how far we've gone. The debate for women to vote lasted 10 hours and would stop due to women protesters hissing or saying something about the proposal. Now to this day there is no doubt that women should have always been able to vote and is insane how far we’ve come.

    America with a senate vote of 82 to 6 and a declaration vote of 373 to 50 goes into WW1. At this time the president didn’t want anything with the war, but was being called weak. On june 26th, America had sent 14,000 troops to France for training. Of course more men joined into the war a tad later but this was the start. When the war was done, 2 million men fought the war and over 50,000 had died for the freedom of Americans.
