Andes Flight Disaster
Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571, also known as the Andes flight disaster was a chartered flight carrying 45 people, including a rugby team, their friends,and family that crashed in the Andes on October 13,1972. More than a quarter of the passengers died in the crash and several others quickly succumbed to cold and injury. Of the 29 who were alive a few days after the accident, another eight were killed by an avalanche. The last 16 were rescued on dec. 23rd, more than 2 months after the crash. -

Oklahoma City Bombing
The Oklahoma blast claimed 168 lives, including 19 children under the age of 6, and more than 680 people were injured. The blast destroyed or damaged 324 buildings within a sixteen-block radius, destroyed or burned 86 cars, and shattered building glass in a three mile square area. Osama-Bin-Laden Is Killed
Osama bin Laden, the founder and head of the Islamist militant group al-Qaeda, was killed in Pakistan on May 2, 201, by Navy SEALs of the U.S. Naval Special Warfare Development Group (also known as DEVGRU or SEAL Team Six). After the raid, U.S. forces took bin Laden's body to Afghanistan for identification, then buried it at sea within 24 hours of his death. -
Gun Man Opens Fire at Movie
