HIs killer commited suicide shortly after. The fashion world lost a true titan. Gianni's brother Santo took over as CEO, whil his sister Donatella took over as Head of Design, the position that she keeps to this day

    The No Child Left Behind Act requires states to develop assessments in basic skills. To receive federal school funding, states must give these assessments to all students at select grade levels. It devastated much of louisiana, but media-focus and damage was largely concentrated in new orleans. the storm destroyed many of the cities levees causing massive flooding to drown the city and many of it's inhabbitants. Most civic buildings were destroyed leaving new orleanians without clean water, electricity, or access to emergency services. katrina caused 1,833 fatalities and over $108 billion in damages.

First described in April 2009, the virus appeared to be a new strain of H1N1 which resulted when a previous triple reassortment of bird, swine and human flu viruses further combined with a Eurasian pig flu virus, leading to the term "swine flu". the virus casued nearly 10,000 deaths and hospitalized 200,000 more.

The bombs exploded about 12 seconds and 210 yards apart, near the finish line on Boylston Street. The suspects were identified later that day as Chechen brothers Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev.During an initial interrogation Dzhokhar alleged that Tamerlan was the mastermind. He said they were motivated by extremist Islamist beliefs and the wars in Iraq. their trial was set for february 5, 2015
