  • Declaration of Independence

    This document was signed by Continental Congress on July 4 and stated that America was independent from great Britain.
  • The United States Constitution

    Our Founding Fathers signed the US Constitution which established the framework of our government and it outlines the rights that we as citizens have in our country,
  • George Washington Becomes President

    Washington takes office to become the first president of the United States.
  • World War 1

    The war began after the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand of Austria and was comprised of two opposing sides, the Allies and the Alliance. The US didn't join the war until 1917 when Germans sank a British boat the carried US passengers on board. The war ended in 1919, and Germany had to take blame for the war.
  • The Great Depression

    Began with the stock market crash that left thousands of families without their money and caused unemployment. The New Deal was signed and put into place for the government to set in and help during this time. The Great Depression finally ended at the start of World War 2.
  • First to Walk on the Moon

    Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin become the first people to ever step foot on the moon. Very important leap for American society.
