First Man In Space
He was Russian...that's about all I know---oh, and it changed our world forever---thus, we get movies like "Gravity" with Sandra Bullock. -
First Man On The Moon
The Russians were first in space, but we got to hand it to Neil Armstrong, first man on the moon! -
Watergate
Oh, it was a scandal, and made the first BIG time in history that reporters were crucial to keeping the honor of the President, or any important political figure. -

It has made teaching curriculum and having expectations very difficult for teachers (because NCLB implies that all students must work at the exact same level), although this may have not been the intended outcome. -
World Trade Center Attacks
There was a plane that was headed for the white house; many women and men gave their lives to stop that plane from going into the white house that day.
