What: A war between the northern and southern United States.

Who: Abraham Lincoln, United States of America (North), slaves, and the Confederate States of America (South),
What: President Abraham Lincoln issued it to declare that slaves being held in rebellious states shall be freed.
Where: Maryland, USA.
Why: To end slavery in the United States of America. -
The Great Depression
Who: Mostly countries that were most indebted in the United States of America.
What: It was the deepest and long-lasting economic downturn in the history of the Western industrialized world.
Where: North America and Europe and other industrialized areas.
Why: It was caused by numerous weaknesses in economy, but began with a dramatic crash of the stock market on "Black Tuesday". -
The World War 2
Who: The Axis Power and the Allies.
What: The hostile and aggressive Axis Power in a war all around the planet with the Allies, who were fighting to defend their land.
Where: All around the Earth.
Why: A prolonged war between China and Japan, along with Germany taking dominance over Poland, and that caused France and Britain to declare war on Hitler's Nazi state in retaliation. -
The Fair Employment Practice Committee
Who: President Franklin D. Roosevelt.
What: An exclusive order, which banned discrimination of the employment of workers in defensive industries and government.
Why: To stop discrimination of employees when looking for jobs and at jobs. -
The Signing of Document of Surrender, Ending Word War 2
Who: General Alfred Jodl and General Dwight Eisenhower.
What: A document signed to end World War 2.
Where: Reims, France.
Why: To end World War 2 -
The Cold War
Who: The Eastern Bloc (The Soviet Union and its satellite states) and the Western Bloc (The USA, and its NATO allies and more).
What: A state of geopolitical tension after the World War 2.
Where: USA, Soviet Union, Europe, Vietnam, Cuba, Korea, Greece, East Asia, and South America.
Why: There was a geopolitical, ideological, and economic struggle between two world superpowers. -
The Civil Rights Movement
Who: Martin Luther King, Rosa Parks, and Malcolm X, etc.
What: Was a mass popular movement to secure for African Americans equal access to and opportunities for the basic privileges and rights of U.S. citizenship.
Where: Montgomery, Alabama.
Why: To secure for African Americans equal access to and opportunities for the basic privileges and rights of U.S. citizenship. -
The Soviet Union Launched Sputnik, and the Dawn of The Space Age
Who: The Soviet Union.
What: The first Soviet Union launched the first ever satellite into Earth's orbit.
Where: Tyuratam launch base in the Kazakh Republic.
Why: During the 1950's the USA and the Soviet Union were developing new technology for the space race. -
The Apollo 11 Launch, and the First Moon Landing
Who: N.A.S.A., Neil Armstrong, Michael Collins, and Edwin Aldrin.
What: It was the first ever manned mission to land on the moon.
Where: Kennedy Space Center, and the moon.
Why: To perform a manned moon landing, collect first samples from the moon, and return safely.
