Today Mrs. Simmons assigned us the heroes project, which we will work on for the next few weeks
-
-
Today I talked with my mom about her hero. She said that she was very much influenced by strong women figures in history who achieved great deeds despite of the gender limitations.
-
I went on Times most influential people lists.
-
Barbara Streisand, Barbara Jordan, John Robison, and Ernest Hemingway
-
I decided to look at more biographies of the influential people
-
I decided to research about Ernest Hemingway and found a biography of him by John Tessitore called The Hunt and the Feast: A Life of Ernest Hemingway
-
I made an account with posterous and tested out writing a blog
-
The first post: How I chose my subject:)
-
Read all the databases I could find on Hemingway:)
-
The Hunt and the Feast (A Life of Ernest Hemingway) by John Tessitore
-
Posterouswww.posterous.com Second Post: Analyzing heroes in literature
-
Yay! After reading this book by John Tessitore I was very surprised to learn that the hero I've always imagined Hemingway to be wasn't as heroic as I thought! Not everything written about him was bery flattering and he too had many flaws any common man would have.

-
This other book I found in the library is called A Hemingway Odessy, which is about all the special places in his life and what the locals say about him.
-
Looked up some examples on the internet
-
Asked Natalie Black if she would interview with me.
-
Started formulating interview questions. Natalie is very busy, but she agrees to do the interview. I hope we will follow through:)
