    On April 9th, 1865 Henrys infantry surrendered to the Union, his regiment included 7 officers and 53 men, 14 of which were armed. The officers in the rigement were Colonels John B. Baldwin, John D. Lilley, John D.H. Ross, and Thomas H. Watkins.

    On may 9th 1865, General Lee was surrounded, out of food, and out of hope. He knew the best thing to do was to surrender, that is what he did. He surrendered to General Grant marking the end of a Civil war that lasted for four years that killed over 600,000 americans.
