Dave was born into a poor familly. His mother, Emily and father, John both had low paying jobs even though they were once fairly wealthy. -
Getting Kicked Out
Dave was kicked out when he was only 15 for sellings drugs and not following the religion his familly was involved with at the time. He was left to fend for himself and was introduced to metal music because of that. -
Joining Metallica
Dave Mustaine joined a band with Lars Ulrich and James Hetfield after only beng in two bands before. This soon became Metallica, one of the most famous bands in the world, and was a direct result of Dave. -
Getting Kicked Out Of Metallica
After going to New York to record an album, Dave was put back on a bus to L.A. by his former bandmates. He grew to hate and resent them and much of his life was spent trying to get revenge on them by besting them. -
Forming Megadeth
When Dave became friends with David Ellefson, they created a band and soon found other members to play their new head bashing form of music. Megadeth became an extremely influential and famous band after only a few short years. -
Recording/Release Of First Record
Daves first record he was ever a part of was Killing Is My Business and Business Is Good. He was entirely responsible for writing the album, a feat not many are capable of. -
First Album To Go Platinum
Peace Sells But Whos Buying launched Dave into the rock and roll lifestyle. It was his first album to go platinum, and thus, make him famous. He soon became an icon in the 80's music industry because of the records succes. -
Meeting His Future Wife
While In a bar, helping a friend get sober, (very odd right?) he met his future wife Pam. They almost immediatley hooked up and Dave had finally met a girl who he thought he could settle down with. -
Rust In Peace Recording/Release
Rust In Peace and the subsequent tour were the most important years for both Dave and Megadeth as a whole. The band put out what is considered to be one of the greatest albums of all time. He would fnally find a stable line up for the band and marry his wife during the tour. -
Getting Married
Dave Married Pam in Hawaii, right after the Rust In Peace Tour ended. It was described as being the perfect wedding. -
First Child Is Born
Pam gave birth to Justis Mustaine, their first child. It furthered Dave dedication to cleaning up his act and becoming a good person. -
Second Child Is Born
Electra was born, with Dave being the first person to ever touch or hold her. Because of this, Dave states their relationship is very close. -
Wrecking His Hand
While falling a sleep in rehab, Dave pinched his radial nerve, rendering his left hand useless. He could no longer play guitar and lost alomst everythinghe cared about because of this event. -
Divorce
After Dave wrecked his hand he was so angry he decided at would be a good idea to lash out at his wife. Following a nasty conversation, Pam was convinced that it was time to divorce Dave. For almost 2 years, Dave was not allowed to see his wife, whom he still loved, or his children. -
Breakup Of Megadeth
After Dave wreckedhis hand, he could no longer play guitar. He was forced to close the band. The band, website was shut down and the band almsot completely dissolved. It left many fans all around the world shocked and angered. -
Becoming Christian
Dave accepted God into his life after giving up hope in everything else. He did so while in rehab, and because he became christian, he quit rehab allowing god to help him overcome his struggles. He has remained sober to this day. -
Return Of Megadeth
After re teaching his left hand to play guitar, Dave brought back Megadeth. It was a source of income for him which he had not had for nearly 2 years. Many fans around the world were extremely excited to hear that one of the most important musicians in metal and rock would be creatign albums and touring again.
