Zacharias Jansen
Zacharias Jasen was one of the inventors that helped with the microscope. In 1595 he produced the first compound microscope. And by combining two convex lenses within a tube he made the compound microscope. -

Light Microscope
Light microscopes were invented around the 1600's. They use one or more lenses that enlarges images. The light microscope enlarges less than the electron microscope. -
Robert Hooke's discovery
Robert Hooke took nootes from physics ,chemistry, biology and he made his own microscope. Then one day he took his microscope,a piece of cork and found some thing unusual. He found cork cells! Then he became the father of microscopy. -
Anton Van Leeuwenhoek
He was the first to see and describe bacteria; made observations on various bloodcells in fish, birds, frogs, and humans. He was also the first to observe single-celled organisms known as Prokaryotes. He discovered bacteria from a sample of saliva from his own mouth. -
Anton Van Leeuwenhoek
He made a very own microscope himself too. And discovered animucles too.Improved magnification of microscopes by polishing lenses too. -
Matthias Schlieden
Matthias Schlieden was a german botanist. He concluded that all plant parts are amde of cells. He helped us know a little more about the plant cell. -
Theodor Schwann
He concluded all animal tissues are made up of cells. Also contributed with making the first two parts of the cell theory.
1. All orgsanisms are composed of one or more cells.
2. The cell is the basic unit of life in all living things. -
Rudolf Virchow
Rudolf Virchow stated that cells come from preexsisting cells. He also contributed with writing the third part of the cell theory.
3. All cells come from existing cells. -
Louis Pasteur
Louis Pasteur discovered air-borne microbes infected the soup.He proved Virchow's addendum. He surely did find a way to disinfect the soup too. These activities were performed in the mid 60's. -
Electron Microscope
The electron microscope was invented in the 1930's. Electrons can enlarge 100,000 times or more than light microscopes.Improved electron microscopes can produce images of atoms on or in surfaces of materials.
