The effects lasted long after the revolution as well. Because of the slave revolts, many slaves in the US and ENgland did the sme thing. America even stopped letting Hatians into the country because it was worried about them causing an uprising. Also, without Hati, Napoleon was forced to sell the land known as the Lousiana Purchase for very cheap.

The final major battle of the revolution is a victory for Dessalines and the rebels.

Dessalines puts himself at the head of Hati, and declared himself Emperor on September 22, 1804. His official coronation was on the 16 of October of the same year.
