The Divorce
Brian's mom and dad get divorced. The Judge says Brain would live with his dad in the summer -
The Hatchet
Brian's mom gave him a lether case with a hatchet that goes on his belt. -
The Airport
Brian's mom drives him to the airport to take a small plane to spend the summer with his dad. It was just Brian and the pilot. -
The Crash
Brian got on the plane called a CESSNA 406 with the pilot, The pilot was showing Brian the controls, then the pilot had a heart attack. Brian tried to land the plane but it crashed in a lake and went under the water. Brian swam out of the plane window. -
Learning To Fly
The pilot takes time to show Brian the controls and lets him fly the plane. -
Finding Shelter
Not really a cave, Brian finds a spot under a ledge to be his shelter. He weaves sticks together to make a wall to close in his shelter. -
The Bear
Brian was looking for food when he saw a bush full of raspberries and he put some in his windbreaker. While he was picking the berries, he heard a noise and it was a bear. -
The Porcupine
Brian fell asleep when he saw something bothering him, then he threw the hatchet. A porcupine was scared and stabbed him with his quills. -
The Fire
Brian was getting grass/twigs but, both died, he needed another way to make when he noticed that the hatchet made sparks from a rock. -
The Turtle Eggs
In the morning, Brian saw some sand dunes right next to the L shaped lake and he some snapping turtle eggs buried in the sand, he ate them because he knew he found protein. -
The Missed Plane
Brian is making his bow and arrow when he hears a plane in the sky. He tries to light his signal fire but the plane does not see him. Brian is very depressed and thinks he will never be rescued. -
The Foolbird
Brian finds there are birds that look easy to catch because he almost stepped on one. He called them foolbirds because they did not fly away when he almost stepped on them. Later he made a bow and arrow and missed a couple of times, then he got one and cooked it on the fire so he can have his own meat. -
The Cutting
One night Brian used his hatchet to cut his arm to prove he could kill himself. In the morning when he saw the blood it made him sick. -
The Wolf
Brian was looking around if other pedators were trying to eat him but, he saw a gray wolf a they aren't bad. -
The Skunk
Brian slept when he saw a skunk eating the eggs, Brian got up and made the skunk go away, then the skunk sprayed him. -
The First Feast Day
Brian tried to catch a fish with his hands but, the fish were to fast, he used the spear and arrow to catch the fish. One day he uses his bow and arrow to catch a foolbird and he cooked it over the fire. Brian said this was First Meat day. He was so hungry that he wanted to eat the meat so he can survive and stay strong & healthy and it tasted great. -
The Moose
Brian was about to get a drink of water when he saw a cow looking moose and it kicked Brian into the air and into the swamp. He lost 17% of his body because he could not move or get food for 3 days. -
The Tornado
Brian went to sleep when he heard a twirling noise and it wasnt an animal, then Brian ran away when he lost everything except for the hatchet. -
The Rescue
Brian was screaming then saw a flight plane, then the plane turned around.
