Start of book
In the beginning, Harry is trying to spy on any sort of news, despite being kicked out of his house by his mean aunt and uncle. After a run in with his cousin Dudley, the 2 get ambushed by dementors out of nowhere. Harry, being a wizard, is forced to use his magic, despite being underage. -
To Grimmauld Place
After recieving a letter about his breaking of the law by using underage magic for the last time(despite it not even being him at all the first time), Harry is required by law to attend a hearing. Whether or not he gets to continue attending hogwarts, and keep his wand, is up to that. At one point, A group founded by dumbledore manages to Transport Harry from his aunt and uncle's home to number 12, grimmauld place, the home of his Godfather, sirius black, framed for murders he didnt commit. -
Cleaning Grimmauld place.
After arriving at Grimmauld place, Harry and his friends Hermione and Ron are forced to help clean up the house. The place is crawling with poisonous magical insects, Cursed objects, and all sorts of unpleasant things. The old "House-Elf" Kreacher, doesnt help, despite it being his job. On the contrary, he attempts to save some of the objects. -
The hearing
After a few weeks time, Ron's dad, Mr. Weasley, takes Harry to the Ministry of magic for the hearing. Since Mr. Weasley happens to work there, the two of them wait in his office.. Only to find out that the hearing was rescheduled and they are late because of it. Harry doesnt put up a very good case, but thanks to dumbledore saving the day, he gets cleared of all charges. -
Return to hogwarts, and a new teacher
Harry, Ron and Hermione take the train to hogwarts. When they arrive, not only is a substitute there instead of their friend Hagrid, a very pleasant half giant who teaches one of the classes they happen to attend, but that there is a new teacher. And she works for the ministry. -
Umbridge.
As classes start at Hogwarts, It is learned as early as the first lesson not to cross umbridge. As punishment for spreading rumors, She makes harry write the same sentence. This wouldnt be that bad, except the quill she has him use cuts the words into his hand, only for them to instantly heal. Again, and again. After a game of quidditch(Wizard sport) Goes badly, she gives Harry, along with Ron's twin brothers, Fred and George, lifetime bans. -
The End?
Harry leaves hogwarts, and after all that happened, he is still uninjured. Ron's dad and other members of the order of the phoenix meet with Harry and disscuss with his uncle and aunt. -
The Formation of dumbledore's army
After much pushing from his friends, Harry decides to form a group so he can teach other students Defense against the dark Arts, as umbridge certainly doesnt teach them anything practical on the matter: Just theory. -
The vision
One night whilst sleeping, Harry has an odd dream, more of a vision. He imagines himself as the snake belonging to the dark lord. He ends up attacking Ron's father, then being awoken. It turns out that it was real, and that Ron's father has to go to the wizard equivalent of a hospital. -
An Army discovered.
During one of the dumbledor's army sessions, Umbridge forces a house elf known as Dobby, (A friend of Harry's who most likely only told umbridge what he did because he was forced to). Dobby warns the group, yet Harry is caught. The trouble that ensues leads to Dumbledore having to leave, and Umbridge replacing him. -
The department of mysteries.
Harry is misled by a fake vision created by the dark lord in order to lure him to the department of mysteries. There, he is ambushed. A battle ensues that almost ends in defeat, but Sirius and other members of the order of the phoenix come to the rescue in the nick of time. However, in the ensuing battle, Sirius is killed.
