Talons and tea leaves
They look at their class schedules. After breakfast they head to divination. They meet professor Trelawny. They get cups with tea and drink until only the tea leaves are left. They begin trying to read the tea leaves. Professor Trelawny looks at Harry's cup and reads them. She then anounces that harry has the grim. After divination they go to care of magical creatures. They have that class with the slytherins. Malfoy teases Harry all class long. For the class they are looking at hippogriffs. -
The Marauder's Map
Harry asks lupin to teach him how to defend himself from the dementors. Harry cannot go to the hogsmeade trip, so he says goodbye to Hermione and Ron. He is walking back to the castle when fred and george call him into a room. They give him the Marauder's Map. It is a map of Hogwarts and the Hogwarts grounds. It also shows where everyone is. Harry uses the secret passages to get to hogsmeade. When he gets there he overhears that sirius black is his godfather, but sirius betrayed his parents. -
Owl post
Harry is at his Aunt and Uncle's house for the summer. He is scanning the sky for his owl Hedwig. When suddenly 3 owls come in. Both of them are his friend's owls, Ron and Hermione. He got some owl post from his friends. -
The Firebolt
The christmas holiday started. Hagrid gets a letter saying that Buckbeak has a hearing because he hurt Draco. Hermione, Ron, and Harry help hagrid win the case so buckbeak doesn't die. On christmas day they all open presents. Harry unwraps a package. To his surprise it was a firebolt! They don't know who it is from. Then, they go eat in the great hall. Hermione and McGonagall think that the broom was sent by sirius black. So, she takes the broom stick to get it tested for jinxes. -
Aunt Marge's Big Mistake
Aunt Marge goes to visit Dursleys. She is eating dinner with them and starts saying rude things about Harry's family. Harry gets very angry and accidentally blows up Aunt Marge. She floats out of the house and floats around in the air. -
The knight bus
Harry runs from the Dursley's house because of the situation with aunt Marge. He is walking on the sidewalk and sees a big b.lack dog, so he pulls out his wand which signals the knight bus. It is a purple bus to transport a stranded witch or wizard. He gets on and tells the conductor he is going to the leaky cauldron. The conductor is holding the Daily Prophet. Harry sees it has a picture of a man on it. He asks who it is and learned it is Sirius Black. He escaped from Azkaban. -
The Leaky Cauldron
Harry arrives at the leaky cauldron. He enjoys his freedom at the leaky cauldron away from the dursleys. He spends most of his days exploring shops in diagon alley. He sees the firebolt and really wants it, but does not want to spend that much money on a broom. He then buys new robes and new books for his new classes. He sees Ron and Hermione outside the Ice cream shop. Hermione gets a cat named crookshanks. They all head back to the leaky cauldron and stay there. -
The dementor
They go to platform 9 3/4. Mr. Weasley wants Harry to promise not to go looking for sirius Black. Then, they get on the train. They sit in a compartment by Professor Lupin who was asleep. Draco Malfoy comes to their compartment to tease them. After Draco leaves the train stopped, went dark, and got cold. No one knew what was going on. A dementor comes in to the compartment. It started attacking Harry. Professor Lupin wakes up and makes the dementor go away. Right after, Harry fainted. -
The boggart in the wardrobe
In potions they were making a shrinking solution. Malfoy sat next to ron and harry so, he could be dramatic about his arm to them. Harry, Ron, and Hermione go to defense against the dark arts with Lupin. They are learning how to protect themselves from boggarts. The thing that gets them away is laughter. You use the spell riddikulus to turn your worst fear into something funny. Harry's boggart turned into a dementor. Lupin stopped him from facing it. Harry couldn't help but wonder why. -
Flight of the fat lady
The quidditch season was coming! Harry Potter is the Gryffindor seeker. Oliver wood was really motivated to win the quiddtich cup. Harry is not allowed to go to hogsmeade so he stays at the school. Harry goes and asks lupin why he stopped him from fighting the boggart. After they finished their food, Ron, Hermione, and Harry go to the Gryffindor common room but the entrance was jammed with students. The fat lady had left her portrait. It had been slashed through. Peeves says it was sirius black. -
Grim defeat
All the houses sleep in the great hall. Dumbledor tells the teachers to search the castle for sirius black. For the next couple of weeks everyone was very anxious. The Gryffindor quidditch team was training to play sytherin ,but they are playing hufflepuff because malfoy was still injured. Snape teaches the students about werewolves. At the qudditch match dementors attacked harry. He fell of his broom and ended up in the hospital wing. Gryffindor lost and Harry's nimbus 2000 broke. -
Gryffindor Versus Ravenclaw
The Gryffindor team continues to train for their match against Raveclaw. The slytherins can not believe that harry has a firebolt. The quidditch game starts. Three dementors show up. Harry uses the patronus charm on them. The dementors were acually Malfoy, Crabbe, Goyle, and Marcus Flint. That will be fifty points from slytherin and they get detention. Gryffindor won the quidditch match though. They have a party. Ron claims he saw sirius black in the dormitory while they were sleeping. -
The Patronus
It is the new year and everyone is back from break. Harry is having a lesson on defending himself from the dementors. He will be learning how to do the patronus charm. It is a positive force. A projection of happiness. You think of your happiest memory and say "Expecto Patronum." The first couple of times he can't do it. Then, he gets it! Slytherin beat Ravenclaw, so Gryffindor has a chance if they beat Ravenclaw. They are training very hard so they can do it. -
Cat, Rat, and dog
Harry, Ron, and Hermione come back from seeing Hagrid and buckbeak. Scabbers (ron's rat) bites ron so he can escape. Ron runs after him, so Hermione and Harry follow. A big black dog shows up and drags ron away. Sirius Black is an animagus. The dog is him. They are fighting in the shrieking shack. Lupin joins them in the shrieking shack. He is on sirius's side. Lupin is also a werwolf. Scabbers is an animagus named peter pettigrew. -
Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs
Sirius and Lupin explain how sirius and the other marauders became anamangi to help and be with lupin when he transformed into a werewolf. They also explain some other things that happened when they were at school. They talk about snape a little, when snape pulled off harry's invisibility cloak. Snape is in the shrieking shack with everyone else. -
The servant of Lord Voldemort
Snape found the cloak and marauders map and used them to find Harry, ron, and Hermione. Snape wants to turn Lupin and Sirius into azkaban. Ron, Hermione, and Harry all disarm snape at the same time. He goes flying backwards and gets knocked out. Scabbers turns into peter pettigrew. They are going to take pettigrew to azkaban. They all go through the passege out the whomping willow. -
The dementors kiss
Sirius invites harry to live with him because he is his godfather. It is a full moon. Lupin turns into a werewolf. Sirius tries to fight him, but gets injured. Sirius goes down to the water. Harry follows him. Sirius is unconscious. There are tons of dementors coming down ready to preform the dementors kiss. Harry almost gives up. Then, he yells "Expecto Patronum." The dementors go away. Then harry fainted. -
Hermione's secret
The ministry of magic is going to have dementors take sirius to azkaban. No one believes them that black is innocent. Hermione and harry go back in time to save buckbeak and save sirius. They can't be seen at all. The time turner is how hermione has been getting to all her classes. They were sucsessful. Sirius reveals that he sent harry the firebolt. Black escapes riding on buckbeak. -
Owl post again
Snape thinks that harry is the one that helped black escape. Snape wants him out of here. Lupin resigns so he is no longer the defense against the dark arts teacher. He gives harry the marauders map back. Harry goes back to the dursleys. He gets a letter from sirius and tells the dursleys that he is his godfather. Also that he is a convicted murderer. He likes the look of horror on vernons face when he tells him that. -
Snape's Grudge
Neville got a howler. Ron and Hermione are not doing good in their friendship. Hermione threatened to tell McGonagall if Harry goes to hogsmeade again. Snape catches Neville and harry by the entrance to the secret passage. Harry goes to hogsmeade and malfoy catches them. He tell snape and potter has to go to his office. Snape and harry get in a fight about his dad. Snape discovers the marauders map. Lupin covers up for harry so he doesn't get in trouble. Buckbeak is going to be executed. -
The quidditch final
Hermione slaps Draco in the face. Professor Trelawny introduces the crystal ball. Hermione leaves divination. Gryffindor is preparing to face slytherin in the quidditch final. The game begins. It gets very violent. In the end Gryffindor wins. They won the game and the whole quidditch cup. -
Professor trelawney's prediction
Buckbeak is going to be executed.The students have been taking exams for their classes. Professor trelawney prophesies about sirius black and voldamort. She says the servent will rejoin his master again. They are going to hagrids hut to see buckbeak. Hagrid tells them they should not have come. They can't be caught there. They go back up to the castle. On the way up they see the executioner's ax go into buckbeak. He is dead.
