Dumbledore comes to Harry's muggle house to pick up Harry and bring him to Ron Weasley's house. On the way there, they stop to convince Slughorn, an old friend of Dumbledore, to teach at Hogwarts.

While shopping for school books, Harry sees Draco and follows him into Brorgin and Burkes. He overhears Draco threatening someone to fix a random object. Harry believes that Draco is a death eater.

Harry, Ron Weasley, and Hermione return to Hogwarts to find out that Snape will be teaching defense against the dark arts.

After forgetting his textbook for class, Harry borrows an old students book with the name Half Blood Prince in it. In the book there are notes and spells that help Harry with the potions. He keeps the book since it is so helpful.

Dumbledore schedules regular lessons with Harry. In the lessons, Harry learns about Voldemort's past. He also learns that Voldemort has divided his soul into seven parts of Horxcruxes.

Ron falls in love with a new girl named Lavender. This makes Hermione extremely jealous. Harry falls in love with Ginny, Ron's sister.

Harry is having a hard time handling his time while being the Quidditch team captain and being in between every one of Ron and Hermione's fights.

Harry tries to keep track of Draco using his Marauder's map but he keeps disappearing. He finds out that Draco is using the room of requirement, a room that turns into whatever you want it to.

Slughorn host his annual Christmas Party and Harry is invited. This shows that Harry is one of Slughorn's favorite students because not many people get invited to this party.

Harry and Dumbledore leave Hogwarts to go and destroy one of Voldemort's horxcruxes. While doing this they run into many traps and challenges. After finding the horxcruxe, Harry and Dumbledore return to Hogwarts very weak.

Dumbledore and Harry Return to Hogwarts to see the dark mark above the school. When they enter the school, Dumbledore freezes Harry with a spell and hides him using the cloak of invisibility. Draco finds Dumbledore and threatens to kill him. Dumbledore, weak and without a wand, convinces Draco to put the wand down. Right after Draco surrenders, Snape comes in and kills Dumbledore.

Once Dumbledore dies, Harry's spell is broken. Immediately after he is released, Harry rushed after Snape to kill him. However, Snape escapes.

Harry soon finds out that while he was frozen an army of death eaters were fighting everyone in Hogwarts. Luckily, no one was killed.

People from all around the wizard world come to attend Dumbledore's funeral. He is buried at Hogwarts.

Harry decided to not come back to Hogwarts next year but instead go out and kill Voldemort. Ron and Hermione have agreed to go with him on his journey. He also breaks up with Ginny because he is scared that Voldemort will use her against him.
