    42 men almost daily came in the Independence Hall in Philadephia. Where fourty-two of the fifty-five delegates. There they argued over what should be on the Declaration of Indepence and then finally decided and wrote it and declared freedom over Britain.

    Lewis and Clarke went off with 40 other men and a dog for an expendition to figure out the landscape. They traveled up the Missouri River, across the Great Plains, over the Rocky Mountains, down the Columbia River to the shores of the Pacific and back again. Although a lot as changed over the past 200 years, Lewis and Clarke's expedition helped map out most of the states we know. I would go on this expedition andhelp them get the expedition done quicker.

    in 1903, Orville Wright piloted the first powered airplane 20 feet above a wind-swept beach in North Carolina. This flight lasted for 12 seconds and covered 120 feet. Three more flights were made that day by Orville. If the Wright Brothers didn't invent and have the first flight we would be way behing on flight than what we are at now.

It was help in Berlin, Germany Adolf Hitler thought his country would dominate these Olympics, But instead 22 year old American help beat Germany by winning four gold metals (100m dash, long jump, 200m dash, and the 4x100m relay). But while German officials denounced Owens, majority of the German fans treated him like a hero.

    It began on May 15, 1941 where DiMaggio went 1 for 4 with a RBI (run batted in). From there DiMaggio didn't go hitless for fifty-six games in a row. "The Streak" started against the White Sox and even though they had four occasions to end his streak they couldn't. But the Indians finially held DiMaggio to a hitless game, robbing two base hits from him. Joe DiMaggio made history that should never be forgottwn.

    Jackie Robinson debut was on the Brooklyn Dodgers, and they faced the Boston Braves and won 5-3. Robinson faced big league pitcher Johnny Sain. Jackie went hitless that game but helped the Dodgers win that game and break the color barrier.

    On October 3, 1951 the most dramatic home run was ever hit. Several baseball historians call it one of the greatest ever. It was played at Polo Grounds, New York Yankee stadium. It was a game for the pennant and the Brooklyn Dodgers were up 3 until the Yankees come and tie the game and then a New York Yankee hits a home run to end the game and win the Yankees another pennant

    on the 2nd of March, 1962 the Philadelphia Warriors win a basketball game over the New York Knicks, 169-147. But this wasn't the just a normal game, this game was historical. It was historical because Wilt Chamberlain score a record for single-game scoring at a big 100 points! He had scored 23 points in the first quarter alone and a whopping 43 in the first half! The crowd saw he was doing great and started chanting "Give It To Wilt!". He went on to make history and still holds that record.

There he made his most memorable speech called "I Have A Dream". This speech made an impact and I think helped earned the rights for all men.

It was held in Madison Square Garden which had a circus-like atmosphere. There were police to control the crowd and countless outrageous dressed fans and celebrities. But in the end Frazier won by unanimous decision and giving Ali's first professional loss.

    On this day sport history was made by someone breaking a record. The record was most stolen bases iin a career. Rickey Henderson, of the Oakland Athletics, stole is 939th base to breaks Lou Brock's previous record for stolen bases. This was a memorable moment for Rickey and all sport fans.

    College teams Duke, Blue Devils, and Kentucky, Wildcats, vs eachother in the 1992 East Regionals. Where sports history was made as Duke won in overtime by one point by a buzzer beating shot by Laettner. This game winning shot helped lead the Blue Devils to their second national title in a row.

    The "Dream Team" was a USA men's basketball team assembled for the 1992 summer Oylimpics. They went undefeated and won every game by an average of 48.8 points. They versused Croatia and blew them out 117 to 85, the clostest game they had the whole Oylimpics. There will be no other team like this ever again and they will always have a place in Oylimpic history.

    One of the greatest basketball player ever play the game retired that night in a lost to the 76ers, 107 - 87. Many will remember him as a Chicago Bull, but his last game was with the Washingtin Wizards. He impacted the game on and off the court. He made it popular to have a shoe contract for basketball. Everyone in attendence gave him a 3 minute standing ovation before they started the other player introductions. He was and I think still is the face of the sport basketball.
