Renee was born in London, England in 1922. She was the youngest of 9 children. -
Her father was a chef on the Flying Scotsman. He soon passed away before WWII. -
Her mother died in 1939 when Renee was only 17 years of age. She moved in with her sister after that. -
During WWII Renee worked in a plastics factory. One day she came home from work to find her house had been bombed. -
Renee moved out of the city of London to the countryside for the rest of the war. -
She married in 1948 in a barracks rationing. -
From 1950 to 1963 she had 5 children, the second one is now my grandma. -
Renee passed away in 1979.
