    The Albany Plan of Union was a plan to place the British North American colonies under a more centralized government. This was made after the struggle over France and England over the colonies.

    New tax imposed on all American Colonist. They had to pay a tax on all the paper they used.

    An inncedent that led to death of five civilians on the hands of British Soldiers. This helped start the rebellion of some of the British American Colonies.

    After the French and Indian War. This forced higher taxes upon the colonies.
  • Boston Tea Party

    Officials in Boston refused to return three shiploads of taxed tea to Britain, this caused a uproar among colonists. Citizens dressed up as Indians and got on the British boats and dumped tons of tea overboard.
  • First Continental Congress

    Convention of the delegates from 12 out of the 13 colonies. They came together to write the wrongs that had been inflicted on the colonies.

    Started right after the Warefare of the American Revolution had begun. The second Congress managed the colonial war effort, and moved incrementally towards independence, adopting the United States Declaration of Independence

    the document recording the proclamation of the second Continental Congress asserting the independence of the Colonies from Great Britain. Adopted by the Continental of Congress. It announced that the thirteen American colonies that were at war with Great Britain were now independent states.
