    the purpose of the magna carta was to place the king under a rule of law so that he wouldn't have as much power as he previously did. This relates to how our government is today because our president is not all ruling, he has certain limitations that he must abide by.

    The purpose of the English Bill of Rights was to limit the power of the king even more, as well as allow the people to vote for who they wanted as a king. This relates back to our constitution because the president is limited on what he can do so long as he doesn't infringe on our rights, and we well also get to vote for who we want as president.
