  • Prohibition Begins

    Prohibition legally prevented the manufacture, sale, and transportation of alcoholic beverages in the United States from 1920 to 1933 under the 18th Amendment.
  • 19th Amendment

    The 19th Amendment was ratified on August 18, 1920, and it granted women the right to vote. It may have only made it illegal to deny the right to vote to any citizen based on their sex. But it leads them closer to having equal rights to men and not being discriminated against.
  • Amelia Earhart's First Flight Lesson

    Amelia Earhart's father paid $10 for Amelia to take a 10-minute airplane ride and after that, she was determined to fly. She eventually did when her first lesson was on Jan. 1, 1921, and then later on she was the first person to cross the Atlantic by plane.
  • Washington Naval Conference

    The Washington Naval Conference was conducted outside the auspices of the League of Nations and was attended by nine nations regarding the interest of the Pacific Ocean and East Asia.

    Ford's first affordable car is called Ford's Universal car which put the world on wheels. He wanted to make an affordable, simple to operate and durable vehicle.

    The KKK being reborn was inspired by the movie Birth of a Nation film in 1915. Then later on in 1924, people started burning a cross on Stone Mountain to signal the revival of the KKK.

  • First Female Elected Governor

    Nellie Ross refused to campaign but then easily won the Race on November 4, 1924. Making her the first female governor in the history of the United States.
  • Scopes Trial

    The Scopes trial was the prosecution of science teacher John Scopes for teaching evolution in a Tennessee public school, which a recent bill made illegal. But they said it was viewed as an opportunity to challenge the constitutional of the bill and to publicly advocate the legitimacy of Darwin's Theory of evolution.
