    Hitler met up with military genrals to talk about how to fix Germany's issues. The only way they felt ey could succeed was by expanding the German borders.
  • Germany and Austria unify

    Germany and Austria unify
    In the first step of the Germany's expansion was to become unified with Austria. The Austrian people had been eager to unify with Germany, as many of the people had German heritage.
  • Munich Agreement

    Munich Agreement
    Germany had been printing newspapers, claiming that Czechoslovakia had been abusing native Germans who lived in Sudetenland. These claims had been lies, however they were able to sway the people of Germany into believing. Due to this, Chamberlain (Prime Minister of Great Britain) and Daladier (prime minister of France), had let Germany take part of Czechoslovakia so long as they promised not to take any more land.

    Germany takes Czechoslovakia
    The Nazi's had moved out to occupy the rest of Czechoslovakia as their occupation of Sudetenland left them weak.
  • Nonagression pact is signed

    Nonagression pact is signed
    Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin signed a nonaggression pact, in order to avoid warring against each other. In exchange for signing the secret pact, Germany gave Russia half of Poland.
  • Poland bombed

    Poland bombed
    When the German's went to invade Poland, they had begun the invasion by dropping bombs on them. After that Hitler's troops took over the then weakened Poland with ease.
  • World War Two begins

    After the attack on Poland, Great Britain's new Prime Minister, Winston Churchill, and Daladier of France declared war in Germany.
  • Denmark and Norway

    Denmark and Norway
    Hitler led an unopposed attack on Norway and Denmark by land. They went in with thousands of troops and attempted to get the two countries to surrender. Denmark had surrendered almost immediately, however Norway put up more resistance. Regardless, Germany had taken two more countries by force.
  • French Surrender

    French Surrender
    After a successful invasion, Hitler have France their terms of surrender. France had agreed to the terms, causing them to lose the war and allow Germans to occupy the country.
  • Germany is attacked

    Germany is attacked
    After enduring bombings from Germany throughout the summer, British pilots fought back against the German Luftwaffe.
