This allowed Washington to trap and force surrender from General Cornwallis. This shows the maturity and level of thinking that George Washington has and is playing out.

    The Whiskey Rebellion was a result of the excise tax put on distilled spirits. This tax eventually led to riots such as the one in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. They set fire to the home of the tax collector of that area. In response, Washington gathered a militia of 12,950 men and led them himself towards western Pennsylvania. This caused the riot to stop and showed how much knowledge and control Washington had over his country and people.
